Kate Moss joins rich list and countdown to her collection begins
Kate Moss, (46), has been featured in the annual list of Britain's wealthiest elite for the first time and has becomes one of the UK's 100 richest women. The supermodel has an estimated fortune of £45 million, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.
The queen of the catwalk, who is one of the world's most photographed women, is going to launch her new fashion range for high street retailer Topshop tomorrow. The look she pulls together for herself — skinny jeans and waistcoats, floral mini dresses and sawn off denim shorts — continues to drive global fashion trends.
Shoppers will be let in to browse the designs for a maximum 20 minutes during the launch, while purchases will be limited to five pieces per person. To try preventing fights among shoppers when the doors open, each person will be able to buy only five items. This may also prevent clothes being quickly sold off on eBay.
Topshop is successful in Britain by selling its own brand clothes that are cheap enough and fashionable for teenagers and it has 2,000 umbrellas ready for queuing. During the next two weeks, the collection will be launched in another 21 countries, including U.S. Store Barney's. The collection will be ranging from 12 pounds for a tight-fitting vest to a leather jacket for 150 pounds. Moss's collection is expected to be vital in breaking the U.S. Market.
The fashion press believes that it is a good opportunity for Moss to find a career beyond
Modeling as she gets older.
