The ‘Braveheart'Actor Mel Gibson Pleads to Avoid Prison
The very talented actor, director, film producer & screenwriter was charged for domestic violence on his wife Oksana Grigorieva in early 2010. Mel first made an appearance with Oksana Grigorieva in 2008 on the carpet; Grigorieva already had a son from actor Timothy Dalton. Mel Gibson & Oksana had a baby girl in 2009.
The actor would plead no contest Friday & will avoid prison. Mel Gibson will plead for the charge of simple battery which is a much lesser charge than that of corporal injury on spouse. Mel Gibson was emotionally scattered because of the criminal charges on him & he had a fear because of his family that if at all something goes wrong his family would be on stake.The legal inquiry on the actor was really monitored with keen eyes. The tapes of his violence were scrutinized thoroughly & the actor thought of an immediate solution. The court battle of the actor with his spouse had really reached a height so in order to avoid further trouble & disturbance to his family he decided to plead & get through.Blair Berk his lawyer for this case released a statement saying Mel Gibson will be counseled under this plea & would not be imprisoned. This gives a sigh of relief on the actors face. The actor was really struggling hard to get through this legal court battle. Mel Gibson’s lawyer said that sometimes comes justice comes after one pays a high personal price. There’s no point in fighting the case when you start losing it all on personal ground. Mel was going through lot of trauma because of his over exposure of the case in media. Mel Gibson’s focus throughout this case was his 2 yr old daughter Lucia & his other children who would have had to face the consequences. Mel Gibson has been a great father & always has been thoughtful about his children. This is the major reason he asked his lawyer to file a plea & end this ongoing process immediately.
All’s well that ends well , I guess the justice has been served as Mel Gibson releases the importance of his family & children & doesn’t even think twice before taking the blame on him. I always believe jailing is not the ultimate solution.
